tea time with the mad hatter

the 3 images above is my favourite favourite cafe <3 it is at mandarin gallery orchard singapore. it is called arteastique. very nice place. and the top pic is a cherry ice tea, but it tastes amazing unlike al the normal ones lol. and the cup with milk is actually called the cocospoon(?) dish. the presentation is really nice, each drink served with biscuits yum. really pricey tho, a drink is 11$. hmm but would definitely come back!! :)

twinnings! personal fave, really pricey as well a pot of english breakfast is 11$. lol really cute menu and variety of teatime snacks. we ordered chocolate cake and cheese cake but they were just satisfactory. but the place is really nice, old english style and all that heheheee :)

i know i know i love tea. tea lover here, i wish i could be at the mad hatter's tea party now.
yum, tea <3

a jar of lemonade with a cup of tea :) aah

yummy honey bread

cute tea pot hehehe
this is from a restaurant near my place which is called beatrice quarters it is such a cutesy place. i always enjoy my time there. all the cutleries are so cute. hehe. their speciality is the lemonades they make, some are with fruits or honey. they also specialize in diff types of honey breads. some of their main courses are papillote(fish baked in paper) and some poultry on top of some butter rice. the main courses are just okay(pasta and stuff) but i really enjoy their lemonades and honey bread. the price range is average 50thou and above. it is at Bukit Golf Mediterania ruko at pantai indah kapuk :)
ciao!

carlo de huts has a really nice cozy place, the menu has tons of choices. yet the food was just okay. nothing really great about it. presentation was really good, price was okay. wouldn't recommend it much but nice place to hang out.
ciao!

short post :)

helllllooo! here are some random food pictures i took with my phone. full post soon ;) when i go back to singapore that is. hahahaha

2 pics above are from ps cafe. yumyummmm i drool when i think about it lol. its a cafe in singapore, located in palais renaissance, paragon mall in orchard and several other places. i usually go around teatime, so i haven't really tried the main dishes. however the big mountain of fries are the truffle shoestring ps fries, it tastes amazing. although no restaurant has ever beaten mcdonald's fries lol. the ps fries are really good as well. and the cake is also really good but my favourite is the chocolate cake, serves with icecream yum. prices are a wee bit costly, each plate above is an approximate 11$. but good place, good food. really satisfying :)

my favourite ice cream <3 it is ol' fashioned vanilla from swensen's ice cream shoppe located in plaza singapura, vivo city and many other areas in singapore. it has been around since my mum's time, so real authentic hehe. but other than ice cream not so good and place isnt so good either. however the desserts are really yum such as the apple crumble, my fave <3

best cupcakes!! :) i have eaten a ton of cupcakes in the past year but none are really good. except this one! i found them from this dessert/cupcake fair in plaza indonesia in their extension area. these were the chocolate and red velvet ones, they were so good i went and bought some more. lol. they were from convivium an italian restaurant in panglima polim jakarta. i've never been there, but my friend recommends it, cozy place and great food.

2 above pics are at basilico in gandaria city. food was disappointing except for this one dish above. yuuum real delish. the rest wasn't so good and its quite a small place.
til next time.

Run Forrest Run!

entrance

overall inside view

flip the 'run forrest run' plate and see what will happen

their very colorful menu
so many decisions to make

what my mom ordered

what the others ordered

and what i ordered

grand final: dessert.
this restaurant came from the movie called 'Forrest Gump', children will love coming here. it's so colorful and fun. you can shop their souvenirs, take pictures, do coloring as well as dine. it is located in Ubud, Bali and right across a hotel. it was my first time here and it was on new year's eve afternoon which was pretty crowded. i came here with a group of 20ish people which allows me to try different kinds of appetizers, main courses and desserts. very enjoyable!
all their main courses is a must try, but i don't think their dessert is very pleasing, even their chocolate cake taste funny. and i saw some really cool soda glass, it was shimmering like a disco ball although only containing a normal soda drink (sorry no picture). the waiters are really friendly and overall very entertaining.
i forgot to mention the restaurant's name, it's called Bubba Gump. go check it out!

awesome food is awesome

Every time i visit Taiwan, i just have to eat all these. There are more other tasty food but these are just my priorities. Food isn't so expensive in Taiwan and you just can get simply anything you crave at that moment. What I love most about Taiwan is that it is very convenient every where you go and so food like these are sold everywhere but I highly recommend the ones in night markets or street food. AWESOME FOOD IS AWESOME.

Rose House

menuuuuuuuuuuu

like a normal coffee shop

earl grey tea

today's special

it's located in Eslite shopping mall in Taipei, Taiwan. i love looking at those three-layered stands, it's just eye-catching. sold at a reasonable price, be sure to come here with your friends.

bebek bengil

bebek bengil is located near Plaza Indonesia. the restaurant is a balinese one, its original restaurant is therefore in bali which has a backyard of paddy fields which is really pretty (it is in ubud)
this is the "bebek bengil' or the fried duck, real yum. with the sate lilit on its left, which are meat skewers which can be chicken, fish etc.

this is the veggie with chicken on its left.

this is the bakwan jagung not so good tho.

outdoor area

fresh welcome drink.

i would recommend to just order the bebek bengil and the chocolate cake for dessert (sorry didnt take a photograph) or the inidividual meals such as nasi campur bali compared to ordering a couple of dishes to be shared. :)

puncak pass.

i went on this retreat thing with my church and on the first day we went for lunch at this hotel+restaurant place which used to be of "dutch" origin. i used to come to puncak pass a lot when i was younger, so seeing the same place and eating the same pancakes brings a lot of memories.
this is the pancake or pannekoek as they call it with "gula jawa". its so yummy, it is not the typical american pancakes it is actually pretty thin but it tastes amazing. this is the plain pancake but there are a variety of fillings such as banana etc.

this is the sop buntut, wouldn't recommend it however. as the taste is just okay and it is expensive as well as the other indonesian dishes. basically we come over to just eat the desserts :)

sorry to not get a close up but on the right side of the sop buntut there are round pastry like things which are called poffertjies( i hope i spelled it right) it is a pastry crunchy on the outside and it is sprinkled with icing sugar. it tastes amazing. it is also another dutch dish.

the view :)

enjoy!

Afternoon Tea

it feels more enjoyable when it is crowded

menu, consisting of very less pages but all are worth trying
Afternoon Tea tearoom located in Taipei, Taiwan. Both restaurant and souvenir shop but most popularly known for their dessert and main courses. must try!
